Started out the day loading up the pug mill rock into Gerry's trailer and pulling trees out of the nearby culvert with chains and moving the material into the woods instead of piling it by the culvert.  We cleaned up more of the past piled material also.  Then loaded up Turtles truck with courser rock from an old pile off the road.  Gerry and Turtle worked separately on two areas of road that was ready for rock after last weeks work.  I moved the Vermeer to one of the worst water standing areas past the crossing of School House and Little Bell but before the Arrow Head bridge.  This long stretch had two really bad sections where the road was lower than surrounding area at the roads lowest spots.  Pushed a huge number of old downed tree further back in the woods and made drainage areas along the road to lower areas in the woods. Then connected those with tapered road side ditches Moved material from drainage to high places and tried to spread it out.  It was too wet to shape the piles very well at this time.  But what I was doing seemed better than some of the piles from the past.  It should self naturalize in a short time. Then Turtle and I went and got several loads of rock using his truck and the Pathfinder trailer.  We did have a little set back when I notice an important pin at one of the Vermeer arm joints had fallen out.  We spent at least an hour looking for it and after about giving up, we found it along the road.  It had fallen out as we were trailering the machine.  We had found the less likely bolt back where I had been digging (it fell out long before the pin) and was able to repair and continue!  While a huge amount of work was done, there is room for much more work to be done to keep the road in better shape.
