Description:
We welcomed Connor back by letting him smash some a whole lot of rock! That big banked S turn is really taking shape. We have a lot more to do, but we can start to see what we are looking for. Turtle kept Connor supplied with rock and when Connor left, Turtle picked up the sledge and took over. Steve started out by gathering logs to help fill in the dirt mine we are shutting down. Then he did some awesome naturalizing of the inside of our banked turns to keep people using the part of the trail out of the drainage. I finished the closing of the dirt mine and made it look like a simple old swell. It will still serve a purpose to drain water off the future trail route that will go past there. I also spent some time opening up a new dirt mine and trying harder to make it drain well and be less deep but more spread out. There were a lot of downed trees in the area that had to be cut and moved.
