It started out cold in the morning and warmed right up pretty quick to a very nice day. We did a lot more work on removing deep organic material on the far side of the creek by hand. we also dug around a very large stump in the middle of our trail route. Later we pulled out the stump and a dangerous dead tree. We were lucky the stump from the large tree ripped out when we pulled the dead tree down. We used the rope winch with several pulleys to up the force. This is time consuming, but the safest way to deal with dangerous trees. We also rolled several huge rocks many hundreds of feet to near the stream crossing in prep to build the crossing. I started to take measurements of all the rocks to plan the crossing, but ran out of time when we got into the rigging.
